Rory is a modern day troubadour, picking up stories and songs on his travels to the nooks and crannies of the earth.

He accompanies his magical, musical, storytelling spells with his own bizarre solo orchestra of distinctive instruments which include tap shoes, guitar, spoons, finger cymbals, bandorea, djembe and various percussion instruments.

Winner of Best Live Act at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2002, his eccentric melodies are infused with influences from Flamenco to blues, through to Celtic, East European and Calypso rhythms creating a style that has been described as "Intimate, revealing, political and powerful."
